We been having great presentations on beekeeping and this will be a good way to share with others.

5) Lonnie did a show and tell on a new top feeder he found that works very well.

6)Vernon did a show and tell on a new lightweight NUC holder and great for splitting hives.
He did drawing at end of meeting of them. Lonnie Perry and Bradly Walters won. CONGRATS !!

He had James Woolridge come up and did an one-on-one colony inspection of a brood box.
What to look for on each frame. Rules of thumb, take it slow and steady for each frame, be sure to replace the frames exactly as they were when you return them to the box, ensure all frames are evenly spaced after inspection to avoid crazy comb. If signs of queen cells (on top of frame means they want a new queen, if cells are on the bottom, those are swarm cells) you can split.

Handout of Honey Bee Life Cycle

8)John Fraizer will be talking about Mites at the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
